Arts & Education

DC English Language Program

The ESL program helps adults whose first language is not English to improve their English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Huepa Culture & Art Institute​​

Huepa celebrates Colombian performing arts and has students from all ages, races, and origins with the purpose of promoting their cultural identity.

Language Meet-Ups

Do you want to improve your English or Spanish? Join us for a fun and relaxed practice session! Meet new people, boost your confidence, and enjoy learning in a friendly environment.

Guitar Classes

This group class offers guitar instruction for all levels and ages. This class is taught in Spanish.

Grades 4-12: Wednesday | 5pm-6pm

DC Art Class

This class focuses on developing basic art skills, such as drawing, painting, and more.

La Escuelita - Tutoring Program

Offering support in reading and math.

For students from Kindergarten – 5th grade

Middle School Tutoring

Offering homework help, tutoring help, fun/recreation, and more for middle-schoolers!

Available by appointment only.

Citizenship Study

This 10-week course prepares students for the U.S. Citizenship interview and exam. Participants will learn about U.S. history, government, and civics, while also practicing English speaking, reading, and writing skills needed to pass the naturalization test.

Dance Classes & Social

Sewing Class

Learn the basics of sewing in this hands-on class! Whether you’re a beginner or need a refresher, you’ll gain skills in stitching, hemming, and using a sewing machine to complete simple projects with confidence.

Drums Class

Feel the beat and learn the basics of drumming in this energetic, beginner-friendly class! Students will explore rhythm, technique, and coordination while having fun on the drums.

Kids & Students

SPIN

A supportive and fun community for middle and high schoolers with club-style breakouts, such as soccer, volleyball, flag-football, STEM, leadership, basketball, business, music production, and more!

Wednesday | 6pm – 8pm

Shine Camp

Elementary age 5-day summer camp. Includes 2 meals, transportation, music, sports, art, and more.

DC Next

DCNext is a student leadership group focusing on Leadership Civic Engagement, mentorship, scholarship, and service. Trainings will take place quarterly, along with monthly meetings.

Sports Camp​

Each summer, the Dream Center hosts an action-packed sports camp for elementary and middle school students. Students have the opportunity to improve a variety of sports skills with the help of experienced instructors!

Sports & Wellness

Zumba

A free fitness class involving movement inspired by various styles of Latin American dance.

Latina Women's Empowerment

The main purpose is to provide emotional, mental, and spiritual support to all women who join the group; to help each member find a place in the group and develop their talents; and to learn to work harmoniously as a team.

HOPE Clinic - Physical Therapy

Uninsured or spent physical therapy visits? Don’t worry, the HOPE Clinic is here to help you! With a prescription from your doctor, you can receive free physical therapy from the best! This program is brought to you by Elon University.

Join our Men’s and Women’s Soccer leagues! Each league receives support from staff members with great experience and expertise in soccer.

Our walking track and fitness equipment are open to the community! Whether you’re looking for a peaceful place to walk or want to stay active with our exercise equipment, you’re welcome to enjoy the space at your own pace.

Diaper Bank

The Dream Center is the official Alamance Open Site for the North Carolina Diaper Bank! We provide diapers in sizes preemie through adult, as well as feminine hygiene products, and more.

Food Distribution

We aim to combat food insecurity in Alamance County by providing complete, free meals and snacks to our community.

Emergency Food Pantry

The CityGate Dream Center offers non-perishable items to individuals in the community, both in Alamance County and beyond. Visit us in-person or give us a call to learn more.
